Chapter 7

This week we are learning how to market with Snapchat. Snapchat is a very popular social media platform that users use to send pictures and videos to their friends and add words to them. There are millions of users that use Snapchat every day. Most people view it as only a social media site that you can just talk to your friends on, but you can also use it as a platform to promote your business. Promoting your business is a lot different on Snapchat then other platforms like Facebook or Instagram. As per usual you are going to add your name on Snapchat to create the profile. Once you have created the profile you will make your tweets public so that everyone can see them and send the brand snaps. You will be in your settings and make sure that everyone is selected for the people that can see and interact with the brand’s story. Once you have the profile set up you will want to post. Make sure your snaps are good images of the business and can get people to interact with. You do not want to post a long video that people would be bored watching. Since Snapchat is used by majority of younger people since it came out not so long ago, make sure that the content is appropriate for the age group you will be selling to. Also make it so it is easily accessible. Lastly the business can utilize the snap ads to cater to certain people who are interested in the area of the business. This has been another cool week learning about how we can use social media platforms to market our businesses.

  1. I think ads are the best things businesses can do to get their company out there. I have found myself actually visiting some of the ads because they show up so much when I'm watch satisfying videos. I also agree that companies should make sure what they are putting out there is age appropriate.

Keith's life

My life has been kind of crazy these past couple months. It all started when I began the thought of transferring schools. I wanted to transfer schools for a chance to see the football field and pursue my degree of business in marketing. I started talking to coaches trying to get into the transfer portal to be able to transfer and that was a task in itself. I had to talk to and get tons of papers signed by lots and lots of different people. After I was in the transfer portal I had to reach out to coaches and let them know that my recruitment was back open. I had talked to lots of different coaches over the month of December when I realized I wanted to attend Ohio Northern University. I started to get accepted and got an idea of what my schedule would look like but then we had a holiday break. During this break I was not able to get anything done to be able to transfer schools and the time was winding down fast. In the last week before students were allowed back on campus I was fina...

The Transfer from Wapakoneta

Here we are in our last month of classes. After this month is over, we only have a few days in May to take our exams and then we are off on summer break. I will be spending my weeks leading up to these exams studying a lot so I can keep my grades up. We just started our second week of spring practices this week. Things are starting to come to me quicker as I am still learning all the tag words and signals but overall, it is going well. This week my family and I have been planning our vacation that we are taking this summer and needless to say I am ready for summer. How is everyone else’s life going?

Chapter 3 post

This week we learned about social media advertising. The proper steps for being able to properly advertise your social media platform are to be as followed. First of you must decide what your target market is going to be. For me my target market would be potential business interested in a salesman or a marketer because I am a business major focusing on marketing. Step 2 is that you must do a social media audit to make sure that there are no pictures or bad descriptions of you that a potential employer would see that would raise some red flags. For my audit I typed in my name and my hometown Wapakoneta. For me all that really came up was my football achievements and different pictures of me at my sporting events. Step 3 you must imply your smart goals to make sure that your goals are specific to you, they are measurable, they must be attainable, they must be relevant and lastly, they must be time based. Step 4 you need to determine resources, roles, and responsibilities while also ...
