The Transfer from Wapakoneta

Here we are in the second week of classes and just when I thought things were getting better, we got another curveball. Just as we started this second week, we got some snow which was nice to finally get to have some snow to enjoy, but made the roads bad to drive on and the sidewalks not fun to walk on. As I was getting stuff from my car Monday morning, I noticed the snow was accumulating to the point wherever I stepped I got my shoes full of snow. This led to the rest of the morning being miserable because I had wet socks. After I was out of class and had a little bit of down time I was able to get changed and kind of have a reset on the day, I was finally able to start enjoying what was left of the day. This allowed me to catch up on homework and get ahead in some classes. The rest of that day started to carry over into the following days as my days began to get better and things became clearer of what I needed to have done and what I was expected to do. This has been another interesting week with the transfer from Wapakoneta. Has anyone else had anything interesting happen to them this past week?

  1. This snow was horrible, I was kinda hoping they would cancel classes even though I knew they wouldn't. I hope your adapting to being a Polar Bear well so far! Don't be afraid to reach out if you need help with anything.

  2. I don't know about anyone else, but I think wet socks is the worst possible feeling in the world! I cannot stand it when they rub against my feet as I walk. It's so hard! Especially because I can't wear my snow boots for more than twenty minutes without excruciating pain! UGH!

The Transfer from Wapakoneta

Here we are in our last month of classes. After this month is over, we only have a few days in May to take our exams and then we are off on summer break. I will be spending my weeks leading up to these exams studying a lot so I can keep my grades up. We just started our second week of spring practices this week. Things are starting to come to me quicker as I am still learning all the tag words and signals but overall, it is going well. This week my family and I have been planning our vacation that we are taking this summer and needless to say I am ready for summer. How is everyone else’s life going?

The Transfer from Wapakoneta

Here we are another week down and things are still going well. We just got back from a nice surprise four day weekend because of snow. I spent my days from last Wednesday night to Saturday afternoon pushing and plowing snow from the cab of our skid loader. I plowed anywhere from 20-25 driveways during each day while pushing big industrial lots and gas stations in the nighttime. This left little time for sleep. Each day I was awake and pushing snow every morning by 4 a.m. and not being done until 9-10 p.m. in the evening. While I knew we were going to get some snow, but I was not totally sure how much we would be getting, I used my Facebook marketing knowledge to let the people know in my surrounding area that I would be cleaning driveways out for $25 a driveway. This led to people telling other people and the word got out and I got super busy. I was able to make quite a bit of money over this three day time period and help people of the community out. Did anyone else do anything o...

The Sim

Throughout this semester we utilized the sim function in mimic social. The sim helped us understand how to use the different platforms to promote a given business. We had to schedule post with a budget and then make sure the content we posted was useful to the public to understand what we were advertising. After the sim was ran you got the stats from each platform and you were asked questions based upon the stats from that round. Over the course of the semester we did 12 rounds of mimic social. In the last couple weeks we had to hire someone to post about our company and we had to pay them per post. Let me tell you they are not easy people to negotiate with. It took me 2 whole rounds to get somebody to accept my offer when I offered them exactly what they stated they were worth. Any ways this helped the stats by giving it more interactions and engagements due to the fact that the person was famous or had lots of expertise on the topic. Thanks again for listening in this semester!
