The Transfer from Wapakoneta

Here we are in our second to last week of classes and let me tell you the senioritis is coming back. My classes are starting to wind way down. Last week I only had class Monday and Tuesday because my classes got cancelled for the rest of the week. This made for really easy week sort of. When I say sort of, I mean I had to go home and help on the farm. We had some gorgeous days last week and the weekend. We started to get into the fields to start side dressing end rows with anhydrous. We apply the rest of the anhydrous when the crop has emerged from the ground because it is more effective. The reason we do the end rows before it is planted is because we do not want to run over as much corn. We also spread hog manure on our field that we were going to plant our hay crop on. We then planted that field after we finished spreading. We planted till about 12 a.m. until we ran out of seed. I will say that it was a relief that we ran out of seed, or we would have been planting all night long. This made for a productive week and almost a break from classes to kind of reset before exams next week. Thank you for listening in on the second to last week with the transfer from Wapakoneta.

The Transfer from Wapakoneta

Here we are in another week of school. This week has been kind of crazy as per usual. The week started off on Monday forgetting my bookbag at home causing me to show up late to the lift Monday morning. Later that day I decided to go back home to Wapakoneta to watch my brother play his first baseball game of the year. I got home just in time to ride over to the ballpark with my family but little did I know I forgot my lawn chair.  When I realized I had forgotten my chair it was too late to go home and grab it because I would miss the beginning of the game. Tuesday finally rolled around and let me tell you it was a long one. On Tuesday I had a job introduction day where I had to watch hours upon hours of certification videos so I could operate a forklift for this company. After I finally got out of the videos I had to take a test which was pretty easy so that made me feel like it was not a complete waste of time. Now here we are mid-week on Wednesday. On Wednesday I had to help my da...

Instagram is a very popular social media platform that people of all ages use but it is mainly the younger generation. You can use this platform to post stories, reels, and Instagram posts. First, you need to establish your target audience. Next you need to create your account and incorporate what your business is and what you have to offer but then say what you are about. Creating a post on Instagram is pretty simple it all starts by selecting a photo of your business that you think represents what you want to market the best along with what will draw in the most attention from the public. Once you create this post you can repost it on your story, so it gives it more of a chance to be seen by people. Whenever something like a bigger event or something really exciting is going on at the business you...

Chapter 9

This week we are talking about LinkedIn. LinkedIn is one of the most used professional platforms of social media. Majority of people that have a LinkedIn find their future employer or find their employees on there. It is a platform that you can put all your awards that you have received and titles you have earned through your schooling. The first thing you need to do when you make a LinkedIn account is to customize your profile to best market yourself as a potential employee for a company or to best market your business to hire potential candidates that find your account interesting. Once you have the profile customized you need to make connections with people to get your name out there. LinkedIn offers the opportunity to connect with both primary and secondary connections. For example, it will try to connect you with people that went to the same school as you. In summary LinkedIn is an effective connection and collaboration tool for employees and employers.
